Affordable calls shouldn't be a luxury

Millions of Eritreans and Ethiopians live abroad — in the USA, UK, Canada, UAE, and beyond. They're doctors, engineers, teachers, students. But they all share one thing: family back home they desperately want to stay connected with.

Legacy telecom providers charge $0.40–$0.90 per minute for calls to Eritrea. Brey was built to make international calling more affordable, with a low flat rate to every destination.

Two members of the Eritrean diaspora sat down frustrated by a $0.45/min phone bill, and decided to build something better.

First 1,000 Users
Word spread through community groups and churches. Within months, over 1,000 families were using Brey to stay connected across four continents.
2025
iOS & Android Launch
Polished mobile apps launched on App Store and Google Play — full dialpad, call history, contacts integration, and in-app top-up.
